Monepenny embellishes vintage images of seemingly well mannered children with a lively adult perspective of them engaging in mature and mischievous activities. These "Twisted Kids" as they are appropriately named, are found indulging in what some might perceive as scandalous behavior such as dress-up, role playing, and body adornment.

The viewer is encouraged to go beyond the jaunty antics to stimulate a sense of nostalgia, and embrace the imagination, experimentation, and discovery of our childhood past while resisting the paranoia, alienation and judgmental ideas of our adulthood.

Moneypenny's work has inspired and entertained for over 10 years at galleries such as Corey Helford, CoproNason, Thinkspace, La Luz de Jesus, Patricia Correia, and The Hive.

Lisa recieved her Master's of Fine Art, at University of New Mexico, Bachelor's of Fine Art, and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at Califorina State University, Northridge.
